Free Pattern for Easy Baby Bummies

If you’ve never heard of baby bummies and you have a little one, you need to make these. They are the perfect little shorts for summer. Keeping them cool and keeping diapers in place. The pattern goes up to size 3, so they’re also good for under dresses of your little girls. This pattern runs big (compared to ready-to-wear) so my 4 year old fits comfortably in the size 3t. There are a few adaptions you can make with this pattern to, so you can make it exactly how you like it best. The best part, the pattern is free. It can be found here under the free section or bottoms section. This post contains affiliate links.   For the bummies I...

Easy Plastic Bag Holder Sewing Project

Originally Posted on June 4, 2017 Hi everyone! I’m back after taking a long break to move and get settled. One of the things I wanted to get a handle on right away at the new place was those reproducing (I swear the reproduce) plastic bags! I decided to make myself a plastic bag...

I did this last year and I thought I’d share with you this easy method to change your little one’s winter pants into summer shorts, and the best part is it should only take about 5 minutes. Since the kiddos grow at alarming rates, there’s a good chance her leggings from the winter or spring won’t fit by the coming fall. Instead of packing them away, why not make them into shorts that are perfect for play time or under dresses or skirts. I did this last night with these adorable lemon print pants. It’s such a cute outfit, but...

Elephant Stuffie Sewing Pattern

Originally Posted on June 18, 2017 I am so excited to release my first sewing pattern and tutorial for my original Elephant stuffie. These little elephants are so adorable, and make a perfect gift for a new baby or even a growing toddler. I love this project because it can be customized a million ways with fabric combinations. If you’re advanced, you can perhaps embroider a name on the ear, or hand stitch a face on. Another way to take this project up a notch is to make the elephant with minky for an even cuddlier toy. Sewing with minky is definitely a challenge, so if you’re not ready for that, I highly recommend quilter’s cotton. Just wanted to note that I...

Summer Headwrap Tutorial for Infants and Toddlers

Originally posted on June 29, 2017 It’s almost 4th of July! My favorite time of year!! That might be because my birthday follows a few days later, but still. Summer is my favorite season! I love enjoying the fresh air and the warmth from the sun, and the fun summer activities. I thought I’d share how to make the headwrap style headband I show in my skirt tutorial. This is an easy project but you’ll need about at least a yard of fabric because it is quite long. It’s a little bit different than my other headbands you might see in my shop. I’m going to share how to do those soon! What you’ll need: -Cotton fabric *46 inches by 7...
